Become a Girl Scout
The Girl Scouts of today are about much more than camping, craft making, and cookies. Our new tagline describes us well when it says, "Girl Scouts - Where Girls Grow Strong". This means that the Girl Scouts program is designed just for girls to help them develop strong values, self worth, social conscience, and conviction about their own self potential.

Girl Scouts discover the fun, friendship and power of working together through many varied, enriching experiences. Today's Girl Scouts are exposed to science and technology, including hands-on experiments, trips to exciting places such as the space center in Houston, and computers, including web design and internet safety. Girl Scouts also enjoy many outdoor experiences such as canoeing, horseback riding, geocaching, and hiking. In addition. there are many opportunities for Girl Scouts to undertake career explorations and community service. And yes, Girl Scouts still have the opportunity to experience the fun of the original 3 "C"s of camping, craft making, and cookies.

If your daughter is interested in joining Girl Scouts, if you have expertise you could share that would help build these skills, or just for more information about Girl Scouting in your neighborhood, call the Senior Membership Development Executive in your area, Janice Jentsch at (830) 303-2031 or email Janice at janicej@girlscouts-lonestar.org.

We believe that Girl Scouting is for every girl everywhere!
